The most fashionable brunch in Hogwarts
Forget about The Three Broomsticks and the Leaky Cauldron, the coolest place for wizards and witches is now Platform 1904, in Singapore. The Harry Potter-inspired café-restaurant offers magical creations including “black magic” pannacotta or the Three Wizards Cup, a spongy home-made cupcake topped with white chocolate truffles.
On weekends, Platform 1904 does brunch with (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) potions that even “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named” would approve of. Their signature drink is the Goblet of Fire, which is made of blue Curacao liqueur, lemonade and Bacardi Rum. With cinnamon sprinkled for effect, the flammable powder produces a real flame. How’s that for magic? Definitely Instagram-worthy! That’s why they have hats and wands for customers to make their Instagram Stories even more magical!
Harry Potter’s wand hasn’t only touched the menu. Everything about the décor looks like it was dreamt up by J.K. Rowling, with brick walls, wood panelling, tables and lamps that are reminiscent of the Great Hall and chairs upholstered with deer print, à la ‘Expecto Patronum.’ The best thing about Platform 1904? No need to get the express train to Hogwarts. Simply hop off at the Boon Keng MRT station and you’re there.
