Take a trip to the Summer of Love

In 2017 San Francisco celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love, and in The Magic Bus Experience they’ve already started to celebrate. ‘It’s not a tour, it’s a trip,’ they say. A trip to the San Francisco of yesterday passing through the San Francisco of today. The star of the route is the iconic neighbourhood of Haight-Ashbury, the epicentre of the hippy movement of the 1960s. Its coloured murals welcome the passengers on this psychedelic bus on a trip full of music, theatre and art.

The tour lasts two-and-a-half hours and also passes through the Financial District, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park and other hotspots of the movement, such as the Fillmore West Auditorium and the City Lights bookshop in the North Beach area. You catch the bus in Union Square and you won’t have any trouble finding it, thanks to its ‘flower power’ paint job.
